Avocado Hummus Toast
I mean, who does not like an avo-toast? It’s a must here in California. But living here, you know that you can easily spend $15 for half an avocado and a slice of bread in a restaurant. That is crazy! And it is so easy to make it at home. It’s my to got to, if I don’t have time to make food. And having some of my homemade baked bread sliced up and frozen, I even make it a healthy quick lunch. Adding some hummus gives it a nice flavor – definitely nicer than what I’ve had at my favorite brunch place!
Butternut Squash Hummus
Hummus! Yes – Hummus! You might wonder, why even making my own hummus if I get all kinds of hummus in a store? Well, that’s easy:First: I have not seen a butternut squash roasted hummusSecond: Do you really want to put all these nasty oils (vegetable oil, canola oil…) into your body? I don’t. Plus it really takes only a few minutes of your time to whip it up.
Charcoal Toast Bread
Tender, more tender, charcoal toast bread! This loaf is super super super tender, perfect for grilled ‚cheese’, french toast, bread pudding, avocado toast, crôutons and so on– I mean you get the idea, use it for simply everything.I love the black color, it just makes everything look better and kind of different. I don’t feel, that it affects the taste much or at all.If you don’t have charcoal powder at home, just leave it out. In this case, you might want to use less almond milk (use only 200 g, if the dough is too dry, add a little bit more).
