It’s fall baby! Can’t you tell? Even here in LA we had a bit of rain last night and the air smells ‘fally’. That makes me want to hide under a blanket with hot tea and watch Christmas movies all day long. And what goes perfectly with that? A warm whole wheat toast with pumpkin spiced nut butter and some maple syrup on top! That’s definitely my way of welcoming the fall.Very soon, we’ll see pumpkins everywhere and people showing off with their amazing Halloween decor trying to be better than their neighbors. Man, I missed that time of the year. Happy fall everyone!
Perfect way to hide your greens? In a wrap of course. I’ll never stop wondering how differently things taste when we switch up the presentation in any form. That just proves that your eyes ‘eat’ as well. If you don’t like something, try it in a different way.I hear people often say how much they dislike kale. But the truth is (like with everything), they’ve just never had it the way they liked it. Don’t fool yourself by trying out something one time and not liking it. Try it a different way. Try it another time. That always worked with me. Now, you might even wonder why even trying? ‘Cause life is way better liking more things than disliking things. AND nobody likes picky people…(just joking).
is one my friends is real German bread. I mean the one that you get from the corner bakery by your house. That bakery that you walk to, the one where they not only know your name but also your daily order. It is run by the man who saw you growing up and would occasionally treat you with leftover pastries. Thank you Claudio Perrando for sharing this beautiful recipe with me and making me get lost with these sweet childhood memories. Good times. Very good times.
Uuuuh it is cold and rainy in California. Who would have thought that? It is March and I thought winter is over, but it kinda just begun. I would’ve lie if I say that I do not enjoy the smell of the rain. The sound of these little raindrops pouring from the sky makes me feel even more home.
Ever thought of adding some flavor to your quinoa while your cooking it? I highly recommend it, it comes out so different. Great way to switch up your protein! You can totally be creative here, use garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, different herbs, lemon peel… the list good go on forever. Just do it – give it a try!
